Workmen on the (Incidents of) June
19th and 23rd (1925).

Our dear workmen and working masses in Hong Kong!
This is the 4th Anniversary of the gigantic Canton-
Hong Kong Strike on the 19th June and the painful Shaki
Massacre on the 23rd June.
The sympathetic and unified strike of our working
comrades in Hong Kong on the 19th June has shaken British
Imperialism, and reduced the Fragrant Port (HEUNG KONG)
to a Stinking Port (CHAU KONG). Though this gigantic
anti-Imperialist movement has failed on account of the
Kuomintang's conspiracy with the Imperialists to sell
the Chinese Revolution, yet unity is a strength which
can never be resisted by any reactionary power. The
lessons and experience our workmen in Hong Kong have had
have made them realize this. In the near future our
working comrades in Hong Kong should recover their dignity
with their own power, and create their own world.
In
commemorating June the 19th all of us should brace up our
courage and shout out loudly:-

The great massacre committed by the Imperialists at
Shaki on the 23rd June to demonstrate their power merely
revealed their very cruel faces to our masses and taught
them that if they want to establish a "bona fide" free
and independent country, they must overthrow the domination
of the Imperialists in China. The demonstration of power
on the 23rd June was a warning to the Chinese masses that
they should overthrow the Imperialists. At the same time
the great massacre by the Imperialists at Shaki was a
